Medication Name: Fluroflox 400 mg Tablets (10 Tablets)Active Ingredient: Ofloxacin 400 mg Pharmacologic Class: Fluoroquinolone antibiotic Indications: Respiratory tract infections (such as bronchitis and pneumonia). Urinary tract infections, including cystitis and pyelonephritis. Skin and soft tissue infections. Gastrointestinal infections, including infectious diarrhea and typhoid fever. Genital tract infections, including prostatitis and gonorrhea. Dosage and Administration: Adults: Usually 200–400 mg every 12 hours, depending on the type and severity of infection. Tablets should be swallowed whole with water, before or after meals. Maintain adequate fluid intake during therapy. Complete the prescribed course even if symptoms improve. Contraindications: Hypersensitivity to ofloxacin, other quinolone antibiotics, or any component of the product. History of tendon disorders related to fluoroquinolone use. Contraindicated in pregnancy and breastfeeding unless specifically prescribed. Not recommended for children or adolescents under 18 years unless directed by a physician. Precautions: Use with caution in patients with epilepsy or central nervous system disorders (risk of seizures). Avoid excessive sunlight or UV exposure during treatment (risk of photosensitivity). Avoid taking with antacids, iron, or zinc supplements within 2 hours before or after the dose (these reduce absorption). Use cautiously in patients with kidney impairment—dose adjustment may be required.
