Medication Name: Rameceftrax 1000mg IM Vial Active Ingredient:Ceftriaxone 1000 mg Pharmacological Class:Third-generation cephalosporin antibiotic Indications:Used to treat a wide range of bacterial infections, including: Respiratory tract infections (such as pneumonia and bronchitis) Urinary tract infections Skin and soft tissue infections Intra-abdominal infections Bone and joint infections Gonorrhea Meningitis Septicemia (bloodstream infections) Mechanism of Action:Ceftriaxone inhibits bacterial cell wall synthesis by binding to penicillin-binding proteins, leading to bacterial lysis and death. Dosage: Adults: 1–2 g once daily, or divided into two doses every 12 hours depending on infection severity. Children: 50–75 mg/kg/day (maximum 2 g/day). Administered intramuscularly (IM) or intravenously (IV) as directed by a physician. Precautions: Do not use in patients with known allergy to cephalosporins. Use cautiously in patients allergic to penicillin. Dose adjustment may be required in severe hepatic or renal impairment. Avoid use with calcium-containing IV solutions in neonates.
